Then comes Tamil Nadu with 89 cases. Next in the row are Maharashtra and Gujarat with 45 and 23 cases respectively.

The good news is that the national recovery rate at present for this new COVID variant is 98.81% and the fatality rate is just 1.19%, as per the Health Ministry.
